Hello 3rd Grade Families,

The days flew by this week, we packed in as many procedures as we could handle in three days. If your student has questions or if you have questions, please ask.

A couple items we talked about this week were Ipads and Book reports. I sent home Ipad contracts and here is book report rubric.

With the Ipad contracts(blue and yellow paper) we talked about school expectations and how we will use the Ipads.Your student may bring home the Ipad once contracts are brought back and you're okay with it coming home. Those contracts should be in the "right back" side of the red take home folder. Frank will soon send out an email with the contracts as well if they did not make it home.

Book reports are going to be given on Friday, September 28th. I did a book report for them the other day, just so they could see what to expect. There is a paper in the folder I gave you during "Meet Mrs. Mlnarik" or open house night. This paper gives information and ideas your student can use for the project during the presentation.

This coming week we will be taking the first spelling test on the Ipad. This is lesson one with 15 expression words. Your student may take the test as many times as possible until Friday, when I take the best grade.

Then your student will hand the three devotions in on Monday we did together this last week. I sent home the September book and the copies to finish August at home. Those five devotions done at home this coming week will be handed in on Tuesday after labor day. Please help your student think through the law and the gospel to fill out the devotional paper. If there are any questions encourage your student to ask me and then we can follow up later if it still isn't clear.
