Hello 3rd Grade Families,
On Wednesday, October 3rd we will be going to the Harrisburg apple orchard with the first graders. We will be doing some activities with them and apple picking. Thank you to the PTF for providing us with the finances for this field trip, it is greatly appreciated. If you would like to drive/chaperone please sign up here.
There will be no spelling for this coming week. Your student will still have three devotions to do for Monday-Wednesday.
One last thing from Mrs. Holdorf about trunk or treat!
This coming week we have a couple of fun things planned. On Tuesday, October 2 your student will get to go through the mobile fire safety house. They will get to escape a smog house and crawl out a window to safety. One thing that your student will need to know for this activity is his/her home address, this is a question that will be asked during the drill.

Student Council is gearing up for Trunk or Treat again this year on Friday, October 26th! We are in need of some volunteers to provide and decorate trunks and hand out candy. All candy will be provided unless you feel the desire to provide something else at your vehicle. Decorating begins at 3:35 in the SFLS parking lot and the event opens to the public from 4:30-6:00. We need about 14 cars to fill the edge of our lot! If you are interested in helping in this way, have any questions, or would like to serve in another way, please email Leanne Holdorf as soon as possible at lholdorf@sflutheranschool.com. And just in case our winter comes way too early, if there is inclement weather, we will be set up as tables in the gym.
